Please note that offering the following links is not endorsement of the websites or the concepts and information offered on them.
A few of the websites are not considered secure sites for lack of https status, and that is indicated below. Note also that due to the dynamic nature of the internet, some of the links may become obsolete. (We check, but we may not catch them immediately.) Nonetheless, in browsing, you may find similar, perhaps even better sources of information.
Some sites included provide a glimpse of the many points of view and potential new ways of being, thinking, and doing that can be found “out there.” The majority teach skills once commonplace but now all but extinct, and show how to make products that we have come to take for granted in this industrialized world ― products that may become unavailable.
Lastly, the sheer volume of skills listed below, though by no means complete, drives home the point behind the name of this website: “I” must transform to “we” because there is no way one individual, or even one family, can do it all. It takes a community to provide all the essential services and products needed for each of us to survive and thrive. And it takes all of us together to take back our world and our freedom from those who have stolen it from us. Divided and isolated we fall. Together we rise.
Let’s rise.
